i am unfortunately forced to drink these things, and so far the becks/st.pauli/clausthaler seem ok. i'v eheard good things about a new bitburger n.a., but the problem w/ all of these is they contain trace amounts (.05%?) of alcohol. i'd be psyched if these *** offerings are truly 'free'......

The invention of alcohol free beer, I kinda get it. Yet I can't help think today is one of the gayest days in history.

It really is 100% alcohol free

The taste? Imagine wood pulp and carbonated water, now water it down, A LOT, add a touch of piss and you have the taste down. ******* awful. My friend (Muslim) bought a can of the Kirin Free to see what beer tasted like. Took one drink and spit it out, gave the can to me to confirm the taste, and I did the same. It tastes nothing like beer. Even the most ****** Hopposhu tastes better than that trash.

If the bar allows 18+, it's their ass if the underage kids drink. If someone has been cut off, we need to know if someone is still passing them booze. And there's probably some stigmatizing as well - your $2 tonic doesn't merit a pint glass.

In a bar where it is 18+ I agree it makes sense but I don't go to those places.

As for the stigmatization, that's just stupid. Really, really stupid.

Yep. The range of alcohol for "non-alcoholic beer" can range from 0.05% to 0.5%. Buckler (from Netherlands) for example is 0.5% alcohol. Then again, keep in mind that fruit juices can even contain similar amounts of alcohol.

The new Japanese products are 0.00% alcohol.
