I got a pair of Red Wing RWI-Ispired rather than a 8130/Classic Lifestyle Boot. It's the same basic idea but has a lower toe box and slimmer look.

Quality is good, but it's lower quality than the CLB, but lower price as well. The soles on this style have no real chance to hold up anyways. Also, these are much easier to find in black than the Classic Lifestyle Boot. 875 is easy, but 8130 (black) is rare.

They get compliments, but most importantly, they are super comfortable. insulated for winter helps too.

I can't believe I haven't gotten another suggestion for a less clunky, thinner shoe. My last try.

Since when do we serve you? If it's this important, you'd search for what your looking for yourself.

+1, Ricards are amazing.

Grenson "Jackson's" are another option

you might also want to check 'The Bootdown' feature at h(y)r collective... there's tons of good boots out there...

I don't think that anbody serves me. I just thought somebody might read this and think to themselves, "I have shoes like that, maybe he'd like those" and respond.

Of course I don't want anybody searching for me.

Where can you buy the Wings and Horns Dayton boot? How much are they?

I apologize for sounding a bit more confrontational than intended, it's interesting how intentions can get misinterpreted reading text on the internet. Paul Smith are a good place to start and I'd look at hyr's ideas to help branch from there.
