Blue gingham shirts with a navy suit is one of my favorite combinations too. I've seen a lot of them with double cuffs as well, and I think this is a pretty normal combination even though gingham is considered a somewhat informal pattern.

+1. I like Gingham shirts for spring/summer and have a couple, but I like them with barrel cuffs and I tend to wear them more casually with an odd jacket or blazer.

I think the combination of blue gingham and navy suit will look very good. I wear this look regularly. I also like the idea of getting it in french cuff, but would echo one of the previous responses that pointed out the likelihood that this will limit the usefulness/wearability of the shirt (unless you are comfortable wearing a FC shirt without suit/tie). I like the idea of french cuffs, but have to admit that I usually wind up going with barrel cuffs myself.

Thanks everybody for their input, I really appreciate it. Now, I'm probably leaning towards getting it with barrel cuffs simply because I could wear it casually as well. However, I was curious as to can you wear french cuffs shirts with the sleeves folded up like on barrel cuffs? When I wear shirts more casually this is how I wear them anyways so if you could do that on french cuff shirts without it looking silly that might no pose a problem. Thanks again and hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday morning.

Wouldn't really do that. What if you want to fold them down?

Would you not do it because it would look funny you that you might want to fold them down later in the day? I don't think it would cause any problems for me not to fold them down because I wear dress shirts everyday with jeans to school with the sleeves folded up in this matter and can't think of a single time where I have folded them down during the day.
