They don't fall apart, they are just not wearable.
The leather is way too soft and I made a mistake on the pattern so I have a little space on the side at the bottom of each tong.
But anyway even if they would have been wearable I would not have just because I want to keep them as a souvenir.
I know it sounds a bit weird but I am a kind of fetishist.

To each his own and I understand that you would keep your first pair as a souvenir, just trying to understand why you didnt continue.

They look really great and you almost convinced me to try it myself. I assume, I pay a learning fee for it, but it looked great and being able to create a shoe that is exactly the way you want it to be, is an awesome thought.

Anyways, both your DIY threads were awesome and I might build my own shoe box (or w/e it's called) myself.
