Hello. I have two pairs of "Outdoorsman" Ray Ban Ambermatic sunglasses. One is from the late 70's (no marking on the lenses), the other from the early 80's (etched "BL" on lens edge). Both are size 58-14.
I need to purchase the clear plastic "temple tips" (if that's what they are called). I called the Ray Ban repair line (Luxotica Company), and the agent told me that there are no original parts left, but they still produce Ray Ban wire frame glasses in the "aviator" style, and perhaps an optician at a Ray Ban dealer could match up the modern part that would fit.
Could you help me out with this (perhaps provide a present day part number)? The tips would have to be the correct length, of course, and the hole in the tip should ensure a proper fit onto the temple. I would let an optician remove and install the new temples, of course. Thanks for your help!
