pretty pleased. the few little marks on the walnut upper are no biggie, and the sole will wear and get rid of the black marks. The brown ones are pretty solid with no major issues.

the lack of heel counter looks good on the adelaide

Looking at the basket in#3802, I cannot but think that the shoes are made in China or somewhere in the third - word country.

I ordered my dub monks and chukkas 6 or 7 weeks ago, and they told me it would be around two weeks. Now the monks are supposed to be in now, but still 15 days wait for the chukkas. Starting to annoy me, this is.

If I'm not mistaken, I bought the exact same double monks. Mine shipped the 19th, so I guess yours are finished too. Have you asked if they can ship them individually?

Meermin is almost all made in China. If Romanians can make high quality shoes in the case of Saint Crispins, there's no reason that Chinese couldn't.
Okay, I hope that you are right in this case although the Meermin cannot compare to St Crispins.

Finally had the chance to take a picture of my newest acquisition:

Double Monks in the Light Brown Rapello Suede on the Hiro last. Due to the current weather conditions I haven't taken them for a walk yet. I sized down half a size on Pepe's recommendation and they fit pretty well, however the leather seems to be pretty hard (judging from the few walks I had around the house).

Nope, but its 80%+ there at 1/3 the price? And Zonkey Boots is 85% there at 2/5 the price and runs by the same guy that started Saint Crispins factory?

Quality can be have for a price.

I would gladly trade my gemmed shoes for handwelted shoes and receive a 20% discount any day.

NOT that much difference between Meermin or Carmina MTO cost.

Carmina have a 50% up charge for MTO, charge more for shipping and are more expensive to begin with. We're not comparing the same animals here gents. If you don't want to wait( and it's not usually 5 months, that's for the group MTO where 2 months of that is waiting for the leather) go elsewhere but expect to pay a considerably higher price. IMO!
