This dope 2 person shoe making company is running a kickstarter with a discounted price for handmade loafers, boat shoes, boots, high-tops.

Their workshop is right in Vancouver's Chinatown.
I signed up for the boat shoes, they look pretty sick.

And I love supporting Canadian! (Wings + Horns, Naked & Famous, Muttonhead, 18 Waits, Northern Watters Knitwear, United Stock Dry Goods)
I am not affiliated with this business. It is across the street from my house.

They're good.
Very well made and finished, cool styling, a bit hipper than Quoddy or Rancourt.
I got a pair of black mid tops with denim side panel, very happy with them.
IMHO they run a little small to size, but that's OK they're stretching up nicely.
Highly recommended.

Thanks for posting this, always nice to discover new Canadian brands.

(Speaking of which, I've somehow never come across 18 Waits before and I think I've been seriously missing out

They're pretty dope, 18 Waits.

Really great pants and they always end up on sale.
It's like a thick tweed.

Reminds me of Boardwalk Empire

Where's good to check out 18 Waits?

I'd really recommend the pants in wool.
They don't have much wool on sale right now but it usually gets there.

Everything else I haven't really given a chance.

You can check them out at brooklyn clothing co. in Yaletown.
I didn't see much there though when I went in the summer.

Good quality stuff, it's just not well known.

18 Waits digression: went to Brooklyn Clothing co (really nice staff, I enjoyed shopping there) last night, bought a pair of 18 Waits charcoal denim pants. These things are so soft they are like wearing clouds on your legs, and are ridiculously overbuilt-your junk has two thick layers armoring over it. I'm picking up one of their shirts on Tuesday. Thanks for the tip on these guys.
