Has anyone ever heard of an Irish shoemaker called "Blarney Bróg"?

I went shopping for a new pair of Chelsea boots today. The only thing halfway decent I saw was an overpriced pair of grain-corrected Loakes, until... I stumbled upon what I assume are locally produced shoes ("bróg" is Irish for "shoe" -- where the word "brogue" comes from -- and Blarney is just outside Cork).

They are apparently hand made with goodyear welted soles, but more importantly, they fit great, look like I wanted, and they were on sale for ... guess...

Go maire tú an lá, mo chara! That is a gorgeous boot. Can't say I'm familiar with Blarney Bróg, but they look great. You found these in Baile Ãtha Cliath?

Fantastic boots. I'll guess you paid 185 euros.

Thanks guys.
Connemara: Nope -- these were bought down here in the People's Republic of Cork.
Stazy: Nope -- they cost me a mere €50 (reduced from €90). Unbelievable, eh?

Not that I could see -- this was the last pair, and my size just happened to be the display model.

I'm going to go back in next week, to see if they've got more of anything (e.g., the same boot in a brown). I feel like I should buy up everything quick before they realise that such nice shoes shouldn't be so cheap!
