I was wondering what suggestions people had on good books that described the tailoring and cobblering process and parts that make up most articles of men's clothing and shoes. Information about the different types of lasts, lapels, collars, etc.....

Any thoughts?

Check out my Amazon list: http://www.amazon.com/exec....8255027 For books that specifically cover the process of manufacturing, see "Classic Tailoring Techniques" for suits. Â For shoes, see "Handmade Shoes for Men." Â For shirts, see "Shirtmaking: Developing Skills for Fine Sewing" or "The Shirt Book."
I had read a long time ago Gentleman's Wardrobe and thought they had some of the best info. -- esp. historical info. on certain articles of clothing like outwear. You don't give it much of a high rating though. I wonder why.
