Let me offer an alternate theory: when women first go on the pill, they can retain a bunch of water before stabilizing as the pill mimics pregnancy.

It strikes me as odd given her wholesome image - she doesn't gain anything from publicizing the plight of the unwed mother. If she and Romo announced their secret marriage after the Super Bowl, that would be different.

I was thinking she could be deliberately gaining weight to become the new "Weight Watchers" spokeswoman. Kirsty was just too fat ALL the time. Jessica could probably lose the weight very quickly.

So I turned on the TV this morning to Good Morning America or one of the other morning show clones and they were talking about these ******* pictures... they brought on a pro-feminist celebrity gossip person (who wasn't exactly skinny herself) to complain about the public reaction to photos and blah blah blah.... a national news program give prime 8am tv time to talk about photos of Jessica Simpson's fat rolls while we are in the middle of a war, economic crisis and the start of a new presidency.... and people wonder about the decline of America
