i think it looks WAY better than the first one. i don't think a 42 would have been good, this looks like it fits pretty well.

it's difficult to tell with your hands in your pockets about the sleeve length. i think the fit in the black and white photo posted in this thread is great, and that includes the sleeve length. i almost wonder in this 40 size in a non-tall would give you that sort of tailored look. i dunno, maybe i'm over analyzing but i feel like the sleeve length may be too long. at least compared to that b+w photo where i think it looks great with the sweatshirt popping out of the sleeves.

I get about 1/4 inch of sweatshirt sleeve out the bottom. The jacket sleeve hits right about half inch below my wrist bone. I tryed on the 40 regualr, but when i put my arm up in a "riding" position they pull a bit.

I haven't read many of the later posts in this thread, but Straight To Hell jackets are prized for "fitting true" or fitting tight and against your body. When zipped up you SHOULD feel like robocop. I tend to like the Defector a bit more as personal preference goes, but in terms of the Commando which is in the style of a more traditional American biker jacket, this jacket looks perfect. When your arms are down, so are the shoulders, when you raise your shoulders the jacket will bunch up a bit in that area.

Also, it IS decent quality leather, so it will be a bit tough at first. The more you wear it, the softer and more broken in it will get, and will shape more to YOUR body. I'd say it looks great, and it seems to look like it fits how it is supposed to fit.

The comment about the Perfecto.... A Perfecto will fit perfect, but I wouldn't say better than a Straight to Hell. If you get a Perfecto though, it will last you a life time, look and feel great. On the other hand, it will also cost you $600+ most likely. Perfecto's have been known forever and are the cream of the crop, so that means good look but expensive. I say stick with the straight to hell. If you dont like it, you can always sell it on ebay for close to what you bought it for.

That new jacket fits you very well. You made the right choice with the 40L. It will mold itself to your body in no time...
Fits great. What is the brand of the Jacket?
