Yes. Well according to the Italians in Tuscany or above, everything south of Rome is basically a gutter with the occasional pair of good pants.

I'm a bit underwhelmed with how Italians dress, my image was they were extremely fashionable before arriving here. My fiancee is Italian, and her family photos of years back, people dressed really nicely. She says it's no longer this way, unfortunately.

I think this is unfortunately true most places these days.

As you alluded to earlier, Taiwan and Japan for example - at least men dress in slacks and jacket, but huge preponderance of black. Very staid colors. Boring shoes.

Have you had any bespoke shirts or jackets made while in Taiwan? I would shy away from a jacket or suit for the reason you mentioned. Their cuts look so old fashion in Asia. But I think shirts would be ok with the right fabric and telling them the collar/cuff styles you want. It's a nice bargain for around 45$ a shirt.

No, I have everything made in Los Angeles. I source a lot of my own fabrics, and my tailor has fairly good CMT rates. I've also brought in about 10 other friends as customers, so I'm on a bit of a discount.

I wouldn't probably use an Asian tailor in Asia except HK. As an ex rugby player, white as snow, large man (46 shoulder), I wouldn't trust them to have much expertise with my sizing.

My LA tailor is Korean, but they've been around since '68 and dress pro basketball players.

I totally get you about them not knowing how to size you right. The tailor I used in the US was also korean, I’m half korean on my mother’s side so I usually get a good price if I use a bit of korean going in there.

Lol. I am a little confused why someone on Styleforum would ask you why you would want a suit when you came asking for CM advice.
Seriously, he's still in education. I was in a Moorgate pub at lunchtime this week and the Head of L&G wasn't suited.I didn't realise that MBA students shopped at Huntsman, Poole, and A&S.
I must watch Wall Street on DVD.

What am I going to wear for a formal interview? Which business student does not have 1 business suit to wear for presentations and interviews? I don't get why having 1 business suit is something that seemed off to you. I never mentioned going to Huntsman, I explained why off the rack is difficult for me and need a bit more care than the average person in terms of fit, that's all.

Most postgrad business students are a bit older like me, many of which have some sort of professional career. It's not like an 18-year-old asking about wearing 7 different bespoke business suits to class every day of the week.

Your first post never mentioned interviewing, secondly in the current climate - which is political so I will skip.
Anyway having grown up in mean streets of Wimbledon Village, and working in London for 30 years I am off to watch Mary Poppins to see what it's really all about. Oooo a bowler hat, I haven't seen one since last week in the city.

Should every man not have 1 suit they can turn to? I didn't think that it's out of the ordinary to say I wanted 1, and it seemed reasonable to conclude that someone who is returning to school to change careers would be going to hopefully a lot of interviews.

I've always had 1, even in a tropical island like Taiwan. But tbh, it doesn't fit great anymore as I got it when I weighed closer to 190lbs. Now I'm 15lbs (7kg) heavier from working out a lot, making it harder to move comfortably. I think I will need another for such instances. This brings to my current predicament of having body dimensions that make off the rack almost impossible, so i'm asking for a bit of advice.
