there may be some overlap but look penfields stuff, the style is totally different from pendleton.

There seems to be a variance of opinion and experience regarding the sizing and fit of Penfield wear. I am looking at their mountain parka--the 3 layer Kasson. http://www.penfieldusa.com/us/kasson3l-tan.html I'd be interested in reading anyone's experience with this coat--it's warmth and fit.

I sized down from my usual XL to a large on the kasson.

Cant vouch for the warmth of the 3layer, but my regular kasson has kept me warm in the snow with 1 layer under it.

i said it before, i'll say it again, i think that the penfields are sized like this:

mountain parkas: size down one.
rockwool and stapleford: fits slim.
the big puffers: true to size or size down one.

the variance of opinion is actually due to the fact that the garments are sized differently.

i have also found that their regular offerings, such as oxfords and flannels, fit true to size.

I bought the Outback Navajo Vest (as I said I would in a previous post). I normally wear a Large / 42 and unfortunately it's a little too Small. Should have got an XL apparently. I'm going to post it in an appropriate forum in a day or two so if anyone's interested...

Penfield easily has the worst customer service ever. They dont answer emails , no phone number and they dont give a **** about the customer ... HORRIBLE

I've had the opposite experience -- I sent an email a day after placing an order because I wanted to wait on the jacket. Penfield emailed me right away and I was refunded the amount right away.

It's a small company so it will probably take a while to get back to you. Just email them and if they don't respond in a day, email again.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. just order the Rockwell jacket and have had difficulty with their sizing before. any idea how these size. or is it just all penfield coats size up large?
