How much did you pay for that? Art of Shaving sells rebadged Plisson for about $400 though I believe HMW is somewhat more. I like the lucite and metal handled ones.
You need to shampoo it(some use borax). They put a powder on new brushes so they don't get mites.
Tch tch tch... Asking about price is so not you LK... and Lucite is just plastic. They do have tortoiseshell handles, in plastic. I suppose one could convince Maison Bonnet to put a real tortoise handle on for the price of a small car... I did like the caps on the old versions of the bottle for Hermes' Bel Ami perfume, with tortoiseshell and inset ivory (both plastic, unfortunately).
Just for you SoCal2NYC:
Petrified whale penis.
Walrus?
Yes, a walrus penis bone, called an oosik.
You've got to be kidding me.
I know what it is made from, but what is it?
I think it's just a decorative item though nice for burglars; it's a hefty SOB.
I see. Jon.
The material is also valued for making high-end pocket-knife handles and the like.
Wow, just when you think some people on this forum can't get any weirder, they bust out their decorative walrus dick and you have to start all over again.
