hi, I ripped my suit pants on my office chair. Don't ask me how but I did it. it was about half an inch or 1.5 cm tear. I went around looking for an old fashioned darning to repair and eventually found someone who said they do darning services. what they did was take material from somewhere on the pants and patched it to my horror. When I found an actual darning he made it worse trying to repair their mistake. is there some service I can ship my pants to where they work mircles at repairs. It's Tom Ford so it will be worth trying to get it repaired.

I have photos of the initial tear and how it is now. I don't have a picture of the patch. i think if it hadn't been patched the darning could repair it. Are these pants and suit a write off and ready for the charity bin or is there some miracle mending service out there somewhere that can help. i had a rip in my canali blazer as well but the darning was able to repair it to the point that you don't know there was a rip because it wasn't patched. As I said the patching place said they would do darning and they didn't which led me down the road to how these pants have now turned out.

Would probably try contacting a reweaving service. Two in the US are Without A Trace in Chicago and French American Reweaving in New York. I don't know how well they can repair this micro houndstooth pattern but certainly worth getting in touch with them for their opinion.

The costs probably gonna cost more than the trousers due to the pattern. Another thing OP can do is call Tom Ford and see they have the fabric to re-make that panel.

The two you mentioned don't have websites. However, your response provided me with a forum search to other similar services, which I never knew existed. I thought a hole in a suit was essentially a suit for the donation bin. What I found was https://invisiblereweaving.com in Boston that forum members highly recommended. In any case, I will try reaching out by phone to the two you recommended and then try reaching out with photos to the one at the link I provided. Thanks for your help.

Try Invisible reweaving by Tony Columbo in Boston. From visuals I have seen he's a master reweaver.
