A sporty SUV won't drive like a sporty car which is a Ph.D. in DUH

Still - it can outrun, outcorner and outbrake many plebian, smaller cars. I've driven both back-2-back based on the same platform, sharing the same engine as well as a fair % of components. Neverthelsess, sedan won everytime time. Once physics come into play, there isn't much you can do.

The seat backs fold down to create a nice and spacious flat surface.

I don't think they're fun to drive. I can see the appeal, but for me, they don't replace the thrill of driving a sports or sporty car.

I doubt you could tow anything with these. The transmissions can barely handle the souped up engines.

I drove a Cayenne S for a while and it was a decent car. Ugly as sin.

I'm not an SUV guy. AWD wagons for the win!

BMW has said many times that they would never make an M version of the SUV's or an M version of the 7 series. I guess times may be changing.....

Isn't that a Mazda?

An M X6 (?) would be pretty sweet. I don't know why I like that "crossover", but I do. It's aggressive looking as all hell.

Apparently the Cayenne GTS and RR Sport have been doing so well that it caused BMW to come out with the X6, which is their version of a Sport SUV. Of all these I would take the X6 as it looks the coolest, but only if I had money to burn.

They didn't call the m version of the z the m z-3...they just called it the m-3 roadster if I'm not mistaken so these will just be the M-5, M-6 as well. I made a call in to my buddy that works at plastic omnium (plastic place that makes tons of parts for the x-5) and he is going to send some early pics of the m series x-5 but he said at least that it isn't 100% a go yet. My neighbor drives the 4.8 current gen of the x-5 and I really like it. If the pics are worth a crap I'll post them next week when I get them.

I guess the spy pictures are kind of pointless since most the things that make it an "M" are under the hood. You can see the typical M dual exhaust tho.

I care about the 5 not the 6. The plastic omnium near me makes all the body for the 5's. That 6 will have better looking aerodynamics in the front I'd almost guarantee. They have to change it a little more than that. I'm not a fan of that but I hear the 50 version drives pretty well. Any rumors on what is going under the hood? I'm not sure if the V10 in the cars is a good engine for an SUV.

Nope it will not be called M6 they already have that for the coupe.
