Has this happened to your BB orders

Two weeks ago I ordered a pair of Peal Double Monk Wingtips from the Brooks Brothers website using the friends and family discount, final price $169 shipped, seemed almost too good to be true. My confirmation email stated "In stock and reserved" This morning I received another email stating that they are sorry, but the shoes are sold out. I guess it was too good to be true.

My question is, is this typical of BB sale orders? is it hit or miss if you are actually going to get what you order?

It happens,I think they are just sold out or else they would fulfill your order.

It has happened to me with BB more times than I care to remember.

A similar thing happened to me. During the F&F sale I ordered a pair of antique tan leather plaintoe bluchers. I got an email saying they were backordered but would ship on 10/15. Then yesterday I got another email saying the order was canceled because they were out of stock.

They did send me the shoe trees I had ordered for them though.

A bunch of folks, including me, ordered some Black Fleece stuff during last year's Xmas sale. They kept being on backorder (for weeks) until finally they just cancelled the orders. Frustrating.

Now that BB has improved its web site, I'm hoping it will work on its shipping and processing of orders. I've taken to ordering what I see on the web site through SA's rather than online; this way I know I'll get the merchandise, and get it in a reasonable amount of time.
