Well, here's my Stowe and it's actually well past its third year. Â They have aged pretty well, considering the frequency they were worn during its first two years.

Incidentally, the Lobb 2005 Vintage is this exact model.

Those Stowes are ageing nicely Naturlaut

. Did you try to 'antique' them yourself or are those just a result of the wearing process?

Well, I used the Grenson light tan polish the first two years, and found it a bit too dry for the leather. I now used the mid-brown from Weston, which has darken the leather a bit and covered up the dryness in the leather. I should have switched earlier.

That's my favorite polish too, heh.

Was it the marron fonce?  Or the cirage bordeux?

edit: or marron moyen?

It's the marron fonce.

Actually, on these Grensons, I now alternate between that Weston polish and light yellow Berluti polish, so they won't get too dark. I found the Berluti yellow polish works wonders on brown shoes: it helps the brown stays bright and balance the darkening effect from the brown polish and age. On some brown shoes I now use exclusively the Berluti yellow.

I also received a can of Burgundy from Aubercy for my shoes but I haven't tried it yet. I think I could use a tiny bit of burgundy in these Grensons.

Any suggestions for the best polish for a pair of John Lobb Paris' JohnLobb2003 in antique gold?

When I saw the shoes you were selling, I wondered, 'how nice are the shoes this guy is keeping?'

Now I know. Very, very nice.

Where do you purchase them? Are they available on the net?
