I'll let someone else pull you apart for that one. I am a moderator. Moderate by nature.

I know so many chicks that love to hike (Don't know why). I am banning potential wife from mountains now.

I wonder what's the probability of this happening. What bizarre story.

While in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness several years ago, a violent thunderstorm blew in with crazy-assed lightning and thunder. I was at least a full day's paddle from civilization, and this was in the days before cell phones. I hunkered down in my tent and came through unscathed.

When I got back into Ely I learned that a camper on a lake one portage away from me died during the storm. Lightning struck a pine, traveled down the trunk and into the roots, moving underground. It came up through the soil and hit the camper while he lay in his tent!

Lightning is really scary stuff and most people don't give it enough respect.
