BTW, I was shocked at how favorable the EUR- USD exchange rate is right now. Maybe time to take a look at EU sales.

I honestly don't know. I just sent them an email since I need to figure this out as well......

Yeah exchange rates are really good now, going to make a trip to Europe in January hopefully

Hoping they deduct VAT as lots of nice F widths

Exchange rate is very good right now for American customers. Let me know if anyone has questions and have great Black Friday shopping!

I don't want to start up a debate but a friendly pros/cons list---what is the big attraction to EG calf shoes as opposed to a pair of cordovan shoes from Alden/CJ? I actually own about a dozen or so cordovan shoes but no calf-skin shoes at all (started my shoe wardrobe with the big cordovan craze). I'm starting to get into the territory of paying $900 for cordovan boots and starting to consider EG calfskin, but don't know how I will like calf-skin.

Have you been looking at any of the Edward Green shoes? Do any of them visually appeal to you?

You will have to try it to determine if you like calf or not.

They finally arrived! I'm very pleased with how these turned out and sure I made the right choice regarding sole. I actually think I ordered them in plain edwardian, but I must admit the antiquing looks dead sexy

All the all: Another great transaction with the kind guys at Skoak :slayer:

More pics will follow when I get the time.

I won't buy another pair of cordovan shoes because how stiff the leather is. I also think cordovan only looks good in natural lighting. In terms of maintenance, I don't wax/polish/cream/condition any of my shoes, and my crust calf shoes look by far the best in terms of "patina".
