Very nice. Congrats again great choice for your first EG.

What combo did you choose for your Galway that's on the way?
Thanks! I'm sorry that I was a bit unclear but I haven't decided on the colors yet. I'm thinking burnt pine with coffee shaft or chestnut with tobacco shaft? Then again the doak with walnut shaft are a classic... At least I know how one ends up with the closet full of Galways

This will be on the 82 with a single dainite or an R1 sole.

Glad the fit was good and that you received them before your trip. Picking up the returned ones on my way to work!
Tusen takk @Stefan88

The fit was finally good and they're still comfortable after 5 hours (and thats good since they've not coming off for another 10 hours)

I'm contemplating going with this makeup that Skomaker Dagestad has in shop now to ease the wait for a MTO Galway:

Yep, there are quite a few Galway versions that are extremely nice. So my advice to you would be not sweat the decision too much, as long as you pick one of the ones you like you can and you should come back for more later. The one pictured is a great version, good luck.

Well I've found a way of getting photos up but there must be an easier way. The boots are on a 202 last with dainite sole. It's hard to capture the colour with a overcast grey London sky.

Out of interest I would appreciate any views on what colour the suade is as I think it's hard to order suade and know what your getting without seeing it with the naked eye.
Cheers

They look great, ddd. I think I need 2 pairs to be my go-to oxfords. One brown and one black.

Thank you sir. I'm very happy, and I am currently looking at upgrading my black oxfords in the same manner.

I believe I will get black, first. The couple suits I own all work with black so that would be the most versatile. Hmmmm. Maybe after my orders roll in.

To be honest I think I would have gone with black first had I not already had something in black already. However now that I have Dock I can't imagine not getting one in this color. So I can see getting a black oxford from another shoemaker, but when it comes to brown EG is the place to go.

I was actually just thinking about that. Where else to go for black, maybe. I don't get a ton of use out of them at the moment. Just a couple times a year. EG may be a bit ambitious for something of limited use for me.

@wurger has an excellent thread on the black dress oxford you might want to check that out. I would certainly consider the John Lobb Philip II and the Vass OE on the F Last.
