Hello everyone,
first time poster so please be gentle. I have been looking for a tux and was browsing yoox and the like for brands such as lanvin, cornelliani, canali, zegna, caruso etc..
Couldn't find anything that really stood out to me in my price bracket: < $1K AUD (730USD). Was looking for something relatively simple, sharp peak lapels of fair width, clean look, but with some sort of subtle 'edge' to it. Flapped pockets weren't ideal, but can just tuck them in, so not worried about that. Pants lack the stripe but that doesn't bother me.
The sheen effect from the silk composition really attracted me to it. I am 6ft, mid-20's, athletic build - ordered 54IT, its measurements according to matchesfasion are very close to my MJ Bale (Australian) suit I have in a 52IT that fits me well.
Just wondering if anyone has more info on Dsquared2 suits; generally quality, construction, who makes for them...etc
Also, any thoughts on the very high silk ratio (46%)? I would wear it very, very rarely, so durability is less of a concern for me.
There is only really limited info on Dsquared2 suits. They seem to get a hate a lot on this forum for being expensive and tacky generally, to which I agree, and would probably never wear 99% of their stuff, but I really liked this and it came at a good price (I think!).
