Dress pants to go with light brown jacket?

I just bought this one:

And would like to get some opinions on which trousers to go with it. I'm thinking light grey or light brown flannel. Any other suggestions or even examples?

Pretty well anything that you like. Can't guess what colour would suit you both physically and in respect of your personality. Some could carry purple off. others not by example.

Yes of course, but put that aside, I'm just discussing color-matching and what color of pants goes with the jacket.

I wear cream (off white) trousers with light brown jackets or jeans. Avoid a warm or bright cast of cream. Look for something soft and off-white.

An off white or a pure white jean works too if you want something more casual. Levis has several options.

As far as the color of your jacket, I find that a difficult color and fabric to work with (even with the cream or white jean suggestion). That fabric look was popular for a short period of time in the 80's and it soon faded away, I believe, because it wasn't very versatile. It's soft, light heathered fabric is hard to coordinate with other classic fabrics and colors in most mens wardrobes. If you want a more versatile brown jacket, I would suggest either a year-round weight khaki/tan color made from cotton twill or a richer brown in wool or linen blends that will contrast easily with gray flannels, light tan or off white pants. Either will pair easily with most any white, blue or pink shirts.

I agree w/ Gus. However, since you already have the jacket, I would say dark brown or
medium to dark gray slacks.
