...and yes, pipe smoking looks affected and eccentric these days...

I'm not a health nazi and a former smoker myself and I can tell you smoking a pipe is not good for your mouth ,throat and health in general...

It is a fact...

My grandfather smoked a pipe: dead from oral cancer. Uncle smoked a pipe: dead from throat and esophageal cancer. Father smoked a pipe: dead from lung cancer. We all know smoking is bad and doesn't enhance anyone's image.

No it does not. The only thing that makes a man more masculine is masculinity itself.

Even more fascinating is that you would think that mouth-and-throat cancer is vitriolic garbage from health-nazi cult members. Your breath smells like death.

Some old statistics indicate that pipe smokers live longer than non-smokers, probably because we know how to relax. The anti-smoking movement certainly is one of the few socially sanctioned hate cults.
Maybe one of the most misguided posts I have ever read on ET, or any other forum. Who knows, maybe there's a smoker's rights forum where people like this congregate. Hard to believe. I smoked for 20 years. Anyone who's still smoking every day past the age of 35 and isn't trying very hard to quit is in serious trouble. And no, smoking a pipe does not make a man more masculine. It's like RSS said
