Same thing with Taco Bell and Mexican food.

You don't go to Taco Bell to get Mexican food. You go there for Taco Bell food.

Yes. Mild, but important.

As established, not every McDonald's builds their burgers the same way. Either way, it was still easier and a lot more fun to post this thread.

I disagree. At least within any particular country, and to the extent possible outside, my understanding is that burgers are built the same way. This is why a Big Mac in Japan is at least fairly similar to a Big Mac in the US. McDonalds' success was built on consistency in their offerings. This is also why one company (Martin-Brower) is effectively McDonalds' only supplier in North and Central America.

So, if you get a cheeseburger in America that has no mustard on it, that's probably something HQ would be interested in hearing about.

At every McD's I've been to:

mustard, ketchup, sliced pickles (usually 2) and diced onions. I think these are .89

The basic McD's cheeseburger and double cheeseburger has the same toppings.

The diced onions are different than the sliced ones used on the more expensive McD's burgers. They are the only fast food onions I'll eat.

Youll find mustard on the burgers(from my experience) in Michigan, and Ohio.

The diced onions are dehydrated (hamburger, cheeseburger). The larger sliced ones are not (Quarter Pounder and friends).

They're franchised and can do whatever they want within certain parameters.
