Got this nice Egyptian cotton white dress shirt from Brooks Brothers.com about six months ago, first time I ever encountered one with a barbell collar stay. Tried to take the damn thing off, couldn't, left it in the closet. I want to wear it tomorrow for work, so I pull it out, try my damnest to take this thing off, but it does NOT WANT TO COME OFF! I tried unscrewing, pulling, tugging..wth? How do you get this damn thing off?! Frustrated.

This may sound crazy, but will the bar go through the eyelets without removing the ends? The ends may not come off, but be meant to slip through the eyelets, much like a button.

I thought for these type of stays, you can screw one of the ends on/off?
