Since some member here, is of Philly , I am curious about the stratus, of crusted punk style, and messenger bike couture . Is it , still contemporary fashion ?

i booked the casualties a show back in like 96? and they bailed at the last minute, but i ran into them at a show at the killtime a few months later and called them out on it. jorge gave me a pair of those $125 bondage pants with the mudflap thing.

I'd say it depends on who you're talking about. There are plenty of people who look down on the fashion choices of mods, crust punks, etc... But a lot of those people are those that have their own defined style (hardcore kids, west coast punks, hippies, those who wear "urban" attire), rather than just wearing mall clothes. I don't think that the overarching opinion is that its uncool. Contemporary though? Probably not. I personally think its kind of silly, but to each his own.

The crusts, infest a part of the city that is called, West Philly, named for its , frontier-esque vibrations, not in opposition to, East Philly, which is underwater.

I think bondage pants are tied with square toed black shoes for lamest article of clothing ever.
