I have heard back from Lauren. Gianni in scotch grain calf would come to £420 inc. VAT and £350 exc. VAT.

She is also going to speak to Steve Murdoch regarding the grain cordovan. I suggested that it was likely that were C&J able to get hold of a limited amount of material, I would be able to scramble together enough participants in a GMTO to use all of it. However, I am not holding my breath.

No. Photoshop is not necessary. It speaks for itself.

And calf/grain calf can be discussed.

but the color must be oxblood.

This would be great. I'm kind of hoping they can get dark brown grain or mahogany cordovan though...

I feel like we (the forum) just asked a maker about grained shell and they said it wasn't happening. I forget who it was, though.

Hi all,
I have put in an order with Lauren and I'm anxiously awaiting confirmation. Before I get that confirmation I'd like to ask for he forum's help to confirm sizing.

I thought I was sure on my size for the 341 last but I've been emailing with Jack Main (my initial contact when I ordered a pair of Saviles) and now I'm NOT sure. I emailed him over the weekend with regards to buying the stock burgundy Harlech (before I found out about this GMTO). I currently own a pair of suede Swansea (341 last) in UK9.5E and they are too small; the length is fine but the width is too tight and pinches my small toes. Mr. Main informed me that the Harlech runs very generous in size. For reference, the Saviles are on the 337 last in UK9.5E which run very slightly large on me. I also own Monktons on the 348 last in UK9.5E which are perfect, maybe a tad long. My feet are normal in size except for toe area which is slightly on the wider side. On the Brannock device I'm 10.5 between D and E. In the Alden Barrie last I'm 10D which is slightly large. In most JL I'm UK9.5E.

Lauren and Jack both recommended that I stay with UK9.5E. I just wanted to get the forum's opinion since these will not be returnable and my Swanseas are unwearable.

Thanks,
slowroll

Did either of them elaborate on how the Harlech would fit better for you than the Swansea when they are both on the same last? Seems weird to me that they would be on the same last and the Swansea doesn't fit yet they suggest going with the same size.

^ I agree with this, especially if your Swansea is "unwearable"?!

I would further state that if the Swansea is suede, then it would likely stretch more in width for you than a cordovan boot ever will. I would follow up and find out more on the "why"
