maiden voyage today. i noticed that the sides of the shoes have a really pretty, almost green, patina. :inlove:

Badass. Reminds me of my Marlow's - they too started out that olive/green color but very quickly lightened into a beautiful caramel/ravello hue.

institch, thats a brilliant combination - pants and shoes go together like peas and carrots. btw, how did you end up sizing?

wOoT!!!

thanks! i have been planning this combo forevar!

as you know, i am generally a US 12 and a UK 11 or 11.5. except for C&J, where i am a UK 10.5 or 11, depending on how wide or narrow the last is. these are labeled an 11D on the box, which i assume is a US size as its labeled by RL. which i guess would be a C&J 10.5 maybe? so its pretty much in line with my C&J sizing as its not a very narrow shoe.

fwiw, these are more comfortable than any C&J shoe i have bought or worn. loves em i do.

also, i think they will be great for casual fits as well, and i did not have any really good, rounder, shoes for casual wear. this was a great purchase for me.
