We're planning on getting an Arco lamp this fall (real overpriced deal, not a knock-off) but I have a question: how tippy is it? I plan to have the light portion over a side table that sits between our two lounge chairs and I'm afraid when no one is around our now 6# and growing kitten will launch herself off the side table and try to climb onto the shade portion of the Arco.

Don't want to damage those Piobchairs. In 30 years they will be the new interior design hotness.

My friend put one in his living room when he had two kids under 8 y.o. and rambunctious puppy. As far as I know, it's never tipped over. That block is pretty heavy.

Looking for a sofa similar to Divani's Neowall, but more accessible (both pricepoint and US availability). Any suggestions?

The Hay Mags Soft Modular Sofa comes to mind. There are a few Hay retailers in the U.S.

This actually popped up on my Instagram feed today. There's a dealer a few hours away, so I'll have to make a day trip.

No set budget in mind. I'm basically trying to get a handle on mid-range prices, something between Ikea-priced and some Italian thing that doesn't have published pricing.

Not exactly the same, but there's this:

Not super high-end, but I've heard really good things about the company so far.

Nice. I'll keep this in mind. Thanks.

Not tippy at all but the shade will move very easily if people bump the lamp, swinging all over. It's great over a dining or coffee table. Also it's s two man job to move without disassembly.

It's a nice lamp, i doubt the cat could go much to it unless the cat is seriously crazy.

Skinny, how did the Kezurou-kai go? Did you get down to a single micron yet?

Went very well! Thank you, I got down to 3rd. Best shaving of the day for me was 8 micron but best in competition was 16 micron.

I just have this image of it hanging by it's two front claws from the lamp.

Haha my wife thought I was loosing my mind in the amount of time spent sharpening.

I have designs to acquire a 200x peak microscope for next year, but actually everyone was going by eye or by loupe and doing well. Best shaving of the day was about 4 micron.

Next you'll need a water purifier to make sure there are no minerals in the water . . . a more perfect slurry awaits.
