i'm surprised that my k/d isn't lower after going prestige. 1.37 is still decent. as i continue my climb, i will eventually rival the legendary doc holliday.

I know going through the prestige in mw2 was a *****, is it about the same on black ops? I'm getting close and am going to do it anyways. I never had ghost pro or anything so it doesn't matter to me. I just gotta catch a friend's KD that is always elated to tell me his highest scores

Have finally put a fair amount of hours into BO. Initially hated the maps, think most of them are pretty decent now (still hate Hanoi). MW2 is still better IMO but less drastic. If they can fix improve hit detection I would call it a draw.

To the guy asking about killstreaks, some tips for core TDM (FWIW, I'm over 2 K/D in BO and 1.8 in MW2):

Camping is not an option in BO except for a couple maps. First, the spawns are brutal, you will get an entire team of baddies dropped in knife range behind you. Second, the loss of stopping power means that silencers are almost unusable in core. Third, kills at range are more difficult due to poorer hit detection and weaker guns. The best way to prolong life is to move while keeping your back clear. Use your teammates, use your knowledge of spawns, use terrain.

In MW2 I used a silenced FAMAS and picked people off at distance. In BO I use an AUG and kill at mid range. Have rolled 40-6, 34-1, 32-0 etc.

Radar is better in BO since silencers are garbage and the audio is almost useless (I can pickup reloads but not footsteps). The low-level lethal killstreaks are weak and don't chain, you need to hit heli/chopper/dogs to blow up your K/D. It helps that Ghost is inferior to Cold Blooded.

This is spot on advice - the key to unlocking enormous K

is killstreak awards crate, helo, gunship.

Sniper rifles are unbalanced and essentially useless which is actually not such a bad thing.

I've actually had good results with decoy nades, they are far more effective than flash, gas, etc.
