Okay, so I went to Target tonight and bought a pair of the Merona desert boots. Bottom line, for $40, I dont think they can be beat. I would recommend them. They seem to be fairly comfortable.

^ Saw those at the local Target last month. Decent prices, but the toe shape is a fair bit chunkier than the classic Desert Boot or the BR/J Crew version.

here are my beeswax after about 4 months. my denim has done a number on them and looks weird in the pics but it's no issue when worn since they're covered. haven't treated them with anything.

Nice grundle..ima post some more pics tomorrow.
I think my pair hit around 6 months. The mink is wearing mines out..but they look nice;]

after seeing some pictures of desert boots treated with mink oil, and some untreated, I think I actually like the look of untreated ones better. The brown seems to be a little lighter colour and shows more age and and depth. I think the mink oil makes the boots look a little too dark taking aways some of its characteristics.
