Can I wear a light stone suit with white Ferragamos in Chicago pm in mid-May?

I have a couple of light cotton suits, both casual and want to wear them on a business trip to Chicago in mid-May, after business hours when I hit the bars and clubs. I am trying to decide if I should take the light cotton suits or stick with dark blue jacket/dark suits. I am frankly bored with the dark blue jacket/matching trousers ensemble.

I am trying to do something new. I like the way the stone gray looks over a muted yellow shirt with mid-brown Allen Edmunc loafers.

I was thinking of wearing white Ferragama loafers or tan Ferragama loafers with the light tan suit to complete the casual suit look. Here's a pic of the tan Ferragamas:

If you have any suggestions, I welcome them.

Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't even wear them in clubs and bars. I think the effect would be just generally skeezy. If you really want to go crazy, how about some dark suede chukkas?

Chicago really isn't a dress-to-go-out sort of town. If you're not a jeans guy, I'd definitely go with the cotton suits, but in truth, even then you may find yourself overdressed. Oh, and skip those loafers. I can't stand horse bits myself, and the only time white looks genuinely good is if you're really rich and sitting at a cafe in Monaco... I'd go with a tan suede with the stone suit and either the yellow shirt you described or else a light pink, lavender or lime one.

Chicagoan here - I'm not the greatest fashion man, but dressed like that, 90% of the time you're going to look like a douche or be at a douchey bar/club. Suits aren't big most places here. If you really are going to a place where you need to rock a suit, I'd avoid those loafers but thats just me.
