Agreed. I think someone is confusing card cases with money clips. Not sure that I've ever heard of gangsters using card cases.

I picked up a Valextra case from Angelciboris that is relatively slim, fits nicely in my jacket pocket, and is not flashy.

I used to have a vintage (1989) Cartier metal case that had a window on the front, a slot on the right side, and a spring-loaded mechanism underneath the stack of cards. To pull out a card, you'd simply push on the top card and slide it to the right.

These days I use a sterling silver card case (also by Cartier) with a hinged lid. I don't really use it for business cards....just personal notes.
