Yeah the zipper is the problem. This style in a balmoral is a cinch. Chelseas easy, Jodhpurs no problem, even buttons are findable. No love for the zipper these days.

Check out Enzo Bonafe. Saw a suede side zip GMTO through Solegarb for $625 on reddit/Goodyearwelt today. Looks nice and they're hand welted. I assume you could get a single MTO done through Solegarb for just under $700 if you have the time and parience to wait for delivery.

Carmina has one in black I believe in plain toe as you requested. A little less expensive would be Meermin. Though they don't have on currently, they will periodically throw one out in their group MTO program, though it would likely have a cap toe. Allen Edmonds has one too though you would have to have a cap and a medallion there. Andres Sandra has two, one with a cap, but one plain toe with a charcoal suede shaft. The other option I can think of off the top of my head would be J Fitzpatrick. You can pay an additional 90 euros and MTO any boot you want, so you could really dial in your preferences there. I don't personally have a shoe from them yet, but I have a pair of their button boots in the mail. I've only heard good things and I'm sure others here can provide an opinion.

If not apparent, I love boots. I should really post here more often.
