Hi gents,
I bought a pair of Principes 2 from Meccariello from his outlet section on the Mayfair last (not usually available for his RTW or MTO shoes). Unfortunately, the pair is too small for me and I'll have to pass them on to you. These are the most beautiful shoes I've had the fortune of laying my eyes on.
There are obviously no flaws on the pair, as I'd expect from Meccariello. The pair was a prototype for his RTW range and can't be sold in his RTW section (different last), hence it was up on the outlet section. If you were to get the same makeup on one of his RTW lasts, the total cost goes to around USD 850 (Principes 2 model on any last + MTO fees + metal toe caps + shoe trees + shipping).
$600 is less than what I paid for it, which was $639 (EUR 490 + 58 shipping at 0.9 conversion rate = USD 604 + $35 wire transfer fees because my credit card wouldn't work). I'll also throw in free shipping for you if you're in CONUSA. Others please inquire.
So for $600 you get:
Principes 2 shoes (Mayfair last)
Metal toe caps
Shoe trees
Shipping (CONUSA)
It's a size 8E (UK). Keep in mind they fit closer to GG, EG etc from what people say on forums. For a better size guide for Meccariello shoes, follow this guide which I followed but ordered a half size lower because the deal was too good.
