Best Post-COVID Travelling Bespoke Option

I am looking for a high-end bespoke maker for a tuxedo that can be ready by the middle of September, with a few in person fittings. I have been out of the market for a while, but my alternative is a RL or Zegna MTM or off the rack tuxedo which probably runs about $5,000. Ideally, I can get full bespoke that fits me perfectly for equal or less than that. I have a fairly broad build so it usually takes a few fittings to get everything right.

Before COVID, I was a very happy customer of WW Chan for about a decade. I found them to be very good quality, value, and a nice middle of the road cut and style that was easy to wear. However, I gained about 30 pounds during COVID, and WW Chan has not been on tour since the start of the pandemic so that doesn't appear to be an option.

If there a similar outfit to WW Chan in terms of frequency of visits, quality and price that could have a suit ready in 3 months or less? I am based in New York. If not, what would the collective hivemind of Styleforum do with this budget and time frame?

Thanks, all!

P.S. Love this website. I was a regular visitor for many years and have gotten a lot out of it.

No way you get bespoke in 3 months. Italy is fully shut down in August. No bespoke tailor travels to New York twice within 3 months.

Best option is Armoury RTW tuxedos. Even their MTM won't make it in time given the holidays in Italy.

Len Logsdail too, though significantly more than $5k I would think.

I'd give Paolo Martorano a try as he's based in NYC (w57th st) and should be able to get you something with fittings by your date but you'd have to confirm with him on his tailors' workload. You're looking at probably ~$6k+ for a tux.

I have bespoke trousers from him as well as some shirts and have had nothing but great experiences. Once I make more money I'll move up to the jackets/suits :)

Thanks everyone. I use Hemrajani for shifts (very good) but don't think I would trust them with a tuxedo. I had a jacket made by one of the local options mentioned here and the fit/quality didn't really stand up to WW Chan in my experience.

Paolo Martorano looks great but it like it starts at $7,500 based on their website, which is out of budget sadly - similar to Logsdail.

There is a good list here: https://www.permanentstyle.com/2019/01/new-york-bespoke-tailors.html does anyone have experience with JOSEPH GENUARDI

I will also call, Gallo

IIRC, all of @Andy57's tuxes are Hemrajani and I think they look great...you can always tag on the basted fitting as well just to be sure of the fit.

all in all, I think you're gonna be pretty hard pressed to have a bespoke suit in hand within 9 weeks anyways...

All but my red silk jacket are by Hemrajani/Divij Bespoke. No issues and lots of compliments. If you don’t want to trust them, don’t. I’ll keep sending business their way. I got plenty more ideas I want to have them try for me.

There's a guy on the forums who has a pieces from Genuardi and loved his stuff; forget his name but if you go in the bespoke thread you should be able to find it. He also gets pieces done from that small tailor in Philly if it helps track him down.

You can probably also see what pricing for Tapia Custom Tailors is in NYC--he took over from Nino Corvato so he should be solid as well and NYC based.
