If you are a hardworking writer and spent decades writing and finally won the Booker prize and someone posted on the Net you plagiarised somebody or took some big time short cuts, if it aint true, wont you want to save your reputation?

Want to save my reputation? Yes, but I also believe that denying it with strong evidence to the contrary is a much better way to keep your reputation than to stooping the level of taking someone to court over a single stupid comment. Jesus man, it's not like it's an act of sedition to talk **** about someone. IMO, someone who would take someone to court over something like that has very little reputation to protect.

Dude,

You are so wrong. If you accuse the real Iron Jay of something, YOU have to prove what you said is true. How can Iron Jay disprove what you said. If what you said is true, every celebrity would spend years in court disproving what others said about them.

Well first, I said trying to keep things out of court, as I believe far too many lawsuits are made out of meaningless things.

Secondly, I have the right to say basically whatever I want to whomever I choose. Whether or not people believe me or not or whether I am lying or not doesn't change that right.
