Turnbull & Asser is probably the best and most reputable option, but I'm not sure is they do MTM at their NY location, although it is highly likely. As for local makers I've heard good things about Ascot Chang and CEGO.

Carl is notorious for having little patience for fools. Avoid if one is a dithering Hamlet type.
I think Proper Cloth has an office there, but I could in no way recommend them.
