Squats and oats. If the bar ain't bendin', then you're just pretendin'.

Focus on form for the first few months, don't go crazy heavy on any sets until you're completely satisfied with your form throughout your movements. Watch lots of videos on correct technique and then get a decent 3 day split going with a compound lift on each day and chug some protein shakes. Forget the carb loaded 'mega-gainer' shakes, they'll just make you fat.

Anyone know what this restaurant might be?
https://www.redballoon.com.au/product/gourmet-gifts/romantic-dining/fine-dining-degustation-for-2

Had the whole shbang meal with a dear friend at Estelle Bistro and it was only for $120 a head, what can possibly be the restaurant @ $170 per head?

Appears to be this place.

Never been (or heard of the place) - but it's not a very interesting menu, particularly for a degustation - and I would avoid.

$170 with matching wines is relatively decent value - around half the price of Attica's degustation + matching wines, though i expect < half the quality.

VDM around $250pp and that's just for the food.

Yes, but only thick chunky turtlenecks. Bought a couple from woolovers but hasn't been cold enough to wear them yet. I do have a thin merino one from Johnstons of Elgin which is great but I think they only have cashmere at present

Well Red Balloon is really good for regional Australia getaways or sky diving stuff then?

I'm willing to off load my gift card for $350 which is 30% off if anyone's interested helps me pay off my HECS debt in the coming tax season.

I'd really disagree with that - it takes two sessions to pick up the slow lifts tops.

He needs something where he is adding weight to the bar quickly. It is easy to clear a 140/100/180 total in a matter of months.

Starting Strength is the benchmark program for beginners. PTC's Beginner Program isn't half bad as well.

200kg ATG widowmakers or GTFO and go back home

My record is 210, though I did 200 in comp.

Foxy, start here: http://stronglifts.com/5x5/

WS4SB (Westside for Skinny Bastards) is also a good program, but I wouldnt use that as a first program until you've done a few months in the gym.

Stronglifts is just a bastardised version of Starting Strength.

WS4SB is also pretty crap (sorry). Beginners need to practice and put weight on the main lifts as long as possible rather than rotate them. Rotating lifts Westside style is also a lot harder in an Australian gym where besides a Hammerstrength rack, rubber plates and KISS FM you lack a lot of the useful equipment most American college gyms have access to.

If you really want to look like a bodybuilder though you may as well just do a bodybuilding program for a couple of months before cycling test and then test/tren.

I have a secondhand cashmere turtleneck from Lord and Taylor (via an eBay round up poat on www.putthison.com last year). I also have a thin merino turtleneck from Berg and Berg but they don't appear to be selling them now.

What about J Crew or Lands End?

Here's some on Sierra Trading Post: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/s~turtleneck/clothing~d~5/mens-clothing~d~15/

Sometimes things happen and I've got no idea why - must be something to do with balance. Had a tough day at work yesterday but wake up to find that a photo I put up yesterday suddenly got close to 3000 notes on tumblr. I assume it's been featured on the radar (which seems to happen once or twice a year with my pics) but I still haven't got a clue as to why.

I'm grateful but a little bewildered
