Not to derail the thread, but I figured this would be a good place to ask; Can anyone name some nice high end men's retailers in Australia?

Most of my customers seem to come Australia and I may want to contact some stores down there.

thanks

The main 'high end' retailers in Australia are Henry Bucks and Harrolds. In Melbourne there is also American Tailors. The mark ups are shocking re all three - I rarely shop there except when they have a sale on. With the Aussie dollar on the rise, your customers won't find Australia a shopping oasis - far from it!

Agreed all retailers here charge a fortune.

What is your price to ship to AUS?

It found it surprising that I get so much love from the Aussies. I get more orders from there than anywhere else, including NY.

3 for $180 (Free shipping to CONUS)
4 for $230 (Free shipping to Worldwide)
5 for $285 (Free shipping Worldwide)
7 for $345 (order 6 and get one free, Free shipping Worldwide)

BTW Mods, let me know if this post isn't OK and I'll remove it.

An American decided to write a book about famous churches around the world.
So, he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to Orlando, thinking that he would start by working his way across the USA from South to North.
On his first day, he was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read '$10,000 per call'.
The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for.
The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God.
The American thanked the priest and went along his way.
Next stop was in Atlanta. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same looking golden telephone with the same sign under it.
He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Orlando and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was.
he told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God.
'O.K., thank you,' said the American.
He then travelled all across America, Europe, England, Japan, and New Zealand
In every church he saw the same looking golden telephone with the same '$10,000 per call' sign under it.
The American decided to travel to Australia to see if they had the same phone.
He arrived in Brisbane, Queensland and again, in the first church he entered there was the same looking golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read '22 cents per call.'
The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. 'Father, I've travelled all over the world and I've seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in all of them the price was $10,000 per call.
Why is it so cheap here?'
The priest smiled and answered, 'you're in Australia now, my son - "This is Heaven," so it's a local call!’

Now that vox has taught us all how to count tie folds, great time to snap up some 6 folds

It is overvalued, and will no doubt come down again at some point, but at the moment, the situation is what it is and that's that. We (Aussies) should enjoy the newly found purchasing power while we can and just ride with it and have some fun with it.

Retailers: generally poor. Nothing to call destination shopping. Your clients would be better off wandering rather than courting disappointment.

Interesting, on page 19 of today's Fin Review there is an add for the sale of MCM Studio.

"Owners retiring from business.
Very well establish & successful national brand specialising in men's & women's better end business wear & accessories.
Sale includes leases, stock,fixtures/fittings, brand name"

Never actually bought from them before but will interesting what becomes of the brand. How about a SF syndicate?
