Can someone actually recommend a shoe stretcher, and not just suggest one? I do a fair amount of thrifting and come across a decent number of shoes that are close, but not a perfect fit. I've searched StyleForum, but everything seems to either be a link to an old ebay auction that's no longer available, or a "suggestion" from someone who's never used one. Are there even any big differences among the various types? Thank you.

+100 But really, if the invitation said black tie, and you can afford it, wear black tie.

I guess with shoe stretcher you mean shoe trees. I can recommend Bexley.com during their sale period which should start after christmas. They have split toes, have a full heel part and are made of cedar wood. If you take five pairs, you get one for approx. 12 Euros. Very good value for money.

Sorry I actually meant stretch (as in widening the shoes). I should have clarified.

If you are looking for SHOE TREES I've found that Nordstrom's Rack has the best deal - $12.90 for USA made Cedar shoe trees - the same used by Allen Edmonds.

If you want to stretch your shoes I believe you should probably leave that to an expert - though I believe there is a solution that you put on the leather to help them stretch.

Tall, skinny, lanky guy here...

Where can I get some 30x33/30x34 or something similar (affordable!) khakis? I have a pair nice pair of 32x32s but they're too short. 30x30 is the right width, but way way too short. I haven't been able to find a more expansive size selection whenever I'm looking.

Is there any hope of escaping the baggy or highwater hell I'm living in?

I have a question. My boyfriend is always searching for a suit that will really fit him. We don't have the money to get something really expensive. H&M slim fit suits fit him well, but they sell in pairs, which doesn't work since he has a size 30 waist and wears between a 34 and 36 jacket size. Does anyone have any recommendations on a brand of suit that would work for his slim size?

Thanks!

If you need a place that sells separates, Target's Merona stuff is rated reasonably highly for as little as it costs.

Hello everyone, I've been looking for such an interactive styling forum such as this. Well, as a 17 year old and seeing older styles come back into play, I really try to set myself apart. However, the mainstream media (GQ, Esquire, etc) has shown a few current celeb's wearing their straight leg jeans tucked into their boot's. Does the look portray the person trying to hard to be stylish or can it still be pulled off successfully with the rugged look?

Also, when wearing your jeans tucked into your boot's, would you recommend this look with a boot which has the zipper or no zipper? Here is one pair of which I'm considering:

Thanks for the help and more questions to be brought here soon

Looking for some cheap suits. Not really cheap where I sacrifice price for quality but what's the best bang for the buck? A member recommended RLBL; are there any other reputable brands?

Banana Republic (On deep sale, decent suits can be bought for $75-$150)
H&M Black Label suits are decent quality
Club Monaco are also a good choice.

Search this forum. You will find all the info you will ever need.

Incotex are nice, fit very well without any tailoring, and often pop up on the classifieds here as well as on ebay for pretty cheap.
