thx jaggs, i will give that a try next time I get close to the AE store.
 - so try 10D to 10E correct?

It has been my experience, and the experience of many others, that sizing up one width will fit you better, if the 5 last is for you. If you can't get to a store, places like Zappos of Nordstrom do offer free delivery and return, so you can always get your sizing refined that way. Good luck!

I'm fully expecting versatility from the Strands. Jeans and slacks and khakis.

FYI just purchased my first pair (Walnut) via Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale for $239. 11D.

A few months back purchased the McAllister's in 11.5D...

Do you guys think that I should return the Strands and size up to 11.5's? I didn't remember my McAllister shoe size when I spontaneously bought the Strands--yet they still seemed to fit ok in 11d. I tried 'em on again this morning and am really surprised that they fit but the inconsistency (even though it's only a half-inch) bothers me. Certainly don't think 11.5 would be too big.

But I am concerned that the Strands might start to feel too tight after prolonged wear...

Opinions on this please?
