But I have no idea about the Plaza last. I know I am a 10d in the Barrie last.

But....

10D Barrie - are you a 10.5 normally?

The Plaza last scares me. I know I went into Alden DC and Joe fitted me at 10D for the Barrie last and that the shoes feel awesome. I purchased two pairs which has delayed my purchase of more for a month.

The plaza last is probably too thin for me.

What's the best way to get into a paid of Alden boots without the fear of not being able to return them if they don't fit right? I don't want to shell out (no pun intended) $400+ for something I'll have to sell if it doesn't fit right.

Contact Adam @ Alden of Carmel. He'll guide you through the fitting process and you can exchange the shoes as long as they've been tried on carpet and no creasing of the vamp or external marks on the sole.

I have these boots in shell and calf. I do wear mine with suits, and have been wearing them daily this week during the cold and snow. Great boots.

Which do you prefer? The shell or the calf? I am thinking shell must look really sweet in these.

What colors do you have?
