Hey guys,

So I purchased this Kiton suit from Ian Daniels of shopthefinest.com, since I live in Staten Island, I brought the suit to Franco Ercole in Brooklyn. Just would like to know your thoughts on the images I've attached. What work needs to be done that already hasn't? We tapered the sleeves and trousers, shortened the jacket length an inch, added cuffs to the trousers, took in the side of the jacket, shortened the jacket sleeves. The suit is still there in the shop after my fitting today some more things needed to be done, and of course it needs to pressed. Should I show more sleeve of my dress shirt. I think 1/2 inch is showing right now. I had Franco custom make that shirt at well. The tie I'm holding is a dark navy Drakes Grendadine, I was too lazy to do the knot. Also, got a white linen pocket square from them as well. Shoes are Edward Green Portlands in Tan Mace Suede. Thought are greatly appreciated, suits are hard to wear for me, I have big shoulders as a collegiate athlete wrestled since a young age so sometimes I look top heavy. Anyway, thanks in advance gentlemen.

Edit** we have yet to add the buttons or holes yet. We are doing that this week.

Eh I mean it's alright. The front where the lapel rolling is a little into that 3rd button doesn't look great, aesthetic wise. Buttonhole spot looks slightly tight? Back looks a little tight?

The pants look great with the shoes. Personally I think the sleeves showing are fine but my personal preference is that shirts show only half an inch.

I mean it doesn't look bad? And I don't think Ian accepts returns, just store credit - restocking. I would definitely figure out what's going on with that left lapel roll. I don't know about others but it just looks weird to me. Tightness and the pulls you can get away with to be honest.

you have any suggestions in mind?

I mean light grey is so versatile, any tie will stand out. I just don't think a navy would stand out enough in a wedding? Can even go fun like light blue or medium blue. Purple and burgundy works. I've even seen some pale green and pinks/yellows work too.

You worry about looking top-heavy, yet you've tapered the trousers so that your legs look like toothpicks. If you want to balance the top/bottom of your body, you need fuller width trouser legs.

I think you look terrific and the broad shoulders are an asset. My only suggestion would be to wear a tie that'll give you a "pop" of color. How about a silk-linen tie in sage? A silk floral tie, if you're feeling a bit daring, in turquoise or purple? My personal favorite? A silk repp striped tie in any color. Go for it.

Enjoy the wedding. You're going to look great whatever you decide to wear.
