are acne jeans even selvedged? They're just really well made jeans but not normally the sort that SFers would wet themselves over.

Nope. No selvage, which is a little disappointing, but the construction and durability seem fine, regardless. Edit: I do think the early collections had some selvage options

Wow. If it wasn't blown before, the spot certainly got some hoover treatment from Mr. Rye just now.

Depends on the situation. I was once stalking an item on ebay for a week that had not received much attention. It was significantly underpriced (the only way I could afford it). Spot was blown (somewhere else) and immediately people outbid me by well over a thou. I was outpriced. I was angry. People who had not worked for a long time to gain the information that I had were served *my* lobster on a silver platter.
The one in this thread is kind of silly, though. It's fairly well known here and has been mentioned many times.

In short: I encourage the free exchange of information, but discourage blowing of spots of individual items, especially in bidding situation. But if someone wants their spot to remain unblown, I generally respect that without questioning it too much.

^Careful or it will start some drama here like the whole "dibs" bullshit on StyleZeitgeist.

I tried signing up for Gilt today and could not. It would appear that Canadians are not welcome. At any rate, I still dibs any and all Acne Mic Rigid jeans with size 30 waist.

No drama necessary.
I claimed all the 30w Mic Rigids through flag planting a long time ago, Stazy. We can settle this in a civilized manner: duel to the death. En garde!
