As I've been (very happily) upgrading my wardrobe from loutish bagginess to a more fitted silhouette, I find myself at an impasse now that my old point-and-shoot digital camera has expired. I could take this camera with me inconspicuously in a pair of cargo shorts but have had to keep it out in my hand since I started wearing APC New Standards. I'd like to regain that ability to always have a camera on hand while still having both hands free (and a belt clip/holster -- no -- or jacket doesn't count because the weather isn't always cool enough for that extra layer), so I'm now in the market for a digital camera with decent macro and low-light capabilities (down to f2.8 or better if at all possible -- just caught wind of the new Leica/Panasonic shooting at 2.0) that's pocketable even in the small pockets of slim-fitting jeans.
Looking at the Canon ELPH series to start since I know Canon's p&s lines the best. I shoot SLR with a Nikon though haven't been enthusiastic about their p&s offerings.
Not really a denim question, I know. But it seems that this forum is the most likely place to find someone who has already answered the question for themselves. Thanks in advance for your advice.
