I would have to agree with Geoffmartin. Some people could be insulted by an offer that low and could respond accordingly. To prevent the possibility of a public blow up, I would recommend making offers (low or otherwise) using the Private Message function to the seller.

So what? If it's too low someone else will make a better one, otherwise, at this time and for that pair it's the best offer, the seller doesn't have to accept it.

I think it depends on your feet shape. I wear a 10D US usually, and the 43 U-last fits me well. I had a 43.5 before and it just felt a tad too big.
