I've been there - they have staff members who are fluent in English and Japanese which is nice.

+1 though the sample size is pretty small I tend to prefer the Liverano silhouette to the Rubinacci one. I especially like the lapel roll. Hopefully we'll see more L&L around here going forward.

I like the belly on Mr. Liverano's lapel, hard to get just right for a SB.

It is a function of the angle of the photo, Liverano's bespoke jackets have very straight lapels, forming a flowing line through the very rounded quarters. Although some of their OTR jackets does have a bit of belly.

Mao, looking good. I'm excited to see the finished product. As usual, I am jealous of another's bespoke adventure.

Was there a particular reason for picking Liverano?

A function of the angle of the photo, or a well built chest piece? or both?

Now that I think back to the other, as PG-EGW might say, "Riverano & Riverano", I have seen . . . both.

Ease of communication, house style, also the fact that they make Asian trips makes seeing them in the future easier for me. Another big factor is in Florence itself. I could see myself visiting the city often for various reasons other than bespoke adventures, not so much Naples, Rome or Milan.

The gentleman in the picture is not me. Unfortunately I'm not quite cool enough.

Awesome stuff CMM and thank you for sharing your wonderful photos. The L&L sillouhette is very flattering on you. I echo PG's comment about L&L being something different to ole Rubi. Besides, the Florentine cut offers a more interesting divergence from SF's obsession with all things Neapolitan.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of time to have a bespoke experience. However, I did manage to snare a very nice RTW hopsack navy jacket, 3 roll 2 with those lovely lapels and the unique Florentine cut. But I must say that the absence of the front dart is very appealing for checked patterned cloths.

Here's a few happy snaps from my visit last year.

From L to R: Cemal, some Asian guy giddy with excitement, Rocco, Taka and Yuske.

Yuske in a zen-like trance, not too different from a particular mystery shoe maker when he is takes foot measurements.

This photo captures the difference between i-Talian and i-Japanese. When a camera appears, the i-Talian strikes a pose while the i-Japanese maintains his zen-state concentration.

I found all the guys there to be very friendly. Would certainly love to buy them a few rounds the next time I am there. And last but not least, one of my favourite shots of the store
