I stand by that and would like to state that that advice has served me well in many circumstance and could be applied in many other areas of the forum - such as Artisan Fan's political threads, threads about casual dress in Men's Clothing and basically any thread started by Edina.

Checking in. Always sucks, but fortunately this one wasn't super long-term.

...obviously. You make it sound like noone else has been through this before. Anyone who's been dumped doesn't want to get over the girl. You don't have a choice. Make a conscious decision to want to get over her. Trust me, it can be done.

Plus, if you guys do get back together i can guarantee it won't be the same for one, if not both of you.

+1
you're full of wise stuff on this thread.

...it sounds like your trying to get back at her.

Meh, you're young you're allowed to be a bit spiteful.

I understand that other people have been through this before. I just don't give a **** that they are telling me what to do or how to react to things. I want to go through this on my own. If I wanted life advice from a bunch of 40 year old adolescents on the internet, I would have asked for it, but I didn't.

yeah. I think she just freaked out about everything in her life, including her stressful job. I had a chance to talk with a mutual friend of mine and hers, and she was pissed. Seems she just sabotages her own life left and right.

So you want us to do what, travel back in time 50-odd years and ask for your advice?

broke up with my gf 2.5 weeks ago, she got on a plane and went home. a phone call the next day got her to review the contract, and she got her plane ticket back to me, she lands tomorrow evening. Good timing, because I was getting sick of ********** with myself.

Anyone else hate it when your ex tries to pull some passive aggressive bullshit after you guys break up? I seriously hate Facebook. I think I will take the higher road.

lolz I deleted my facebook account after we broke up. Did not want to fall into the trap of messaging/stalking/chatting to her.
